About
Formed in 1961 by Sir Robert Jones, RJH is now New Zealand’s largest private CBD office building owner, and specifically, the largest in Auckland and Wellington with 26 buildings in total.
The hallmark characteristics of RJH buildings are either corner sites or free standing towers, both ensuring maximum natural light and our maintenance standards are recognised as of the highest possible standard. The company is also noted for its free provision of art work to lessees and inclusion in the building foyers.
With approximately NZ$2 billion of commercial and industrial buildings in New Zealand, Australia and Scotland. The company has over 1,000 commercial professional and government tenancies administered by circa 35 staff.
Services
A number of additional services are provided to all lessees which are unique to RJH.
Building maintenance
All buildings are fully inspected each week by RJH’s facilities managers. If problems are found they are immediately attended to. Moreover RJH staff are in regular contact with all lessees to keep issues to a minimum.
Art works & rugs
RJH has an ever growing collection of art work and rugs available to lessees free of charge to adorn their office suites. We invite leesees to contact us to view pieces currently available.
Gymnasium
In Wellington, a well equipped central city gymnasium with full-time personal trainers, located in one of the company’s centrally located buildings is available to all lessees and their staff. This equates to up to $9,000 p.a. of value, delivered free to each utiliser of this service. RJH has some small suite, 3-6 personnel lessees who effectively recover their entire rental cost from utilisation of this service.

Scholarships
Robert Jones Holdings Ltd provides a number of university scholarships to girls from refugee backgrounds across the country. Full university fees are paid through to graduation, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
Working in conjunction with the Refugees as Survivors New Zealand, a NGO that works with refugees from their first day in New Zealand, RJHL provides university, or other tertiary study scholarships, solely for daughters of refugee families. Full annual study fees and accommodation support are paid, subject to academic performance. The company is grateful to Victoria University, AUT, University of Waikato, University of Auckland and University of Otago for subsidising 50% of the costs to successful applicants for Sir Robert Jones Refugee Daughters’ Scholarships, thereby enabling us to double the numbers attending these institutions.
RJHL also funds jointly with Victoria University, an annual $5,000 Dame Margaret Clark scholarship in Political Science. Dame Margaret, the longstanding Professor of Political Science at VUW, is one of Sir Robert’s oldest friends, dating back to 1958.
While of necessity a broader licence is given to the refugee girls regarding their field of study, to include such disciplines as medicine, law et al, the company is particularly eager to foster study in the traditional humanities disciplines.
